Job Description / Responsibility
Youth and Social Inclusion Specialist will be responsible to Project Head;
- Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience with an international or national NGO or relevant development agency in youth skills development, social safety net programs promoting gender equity, including designing and facilitating youth training, conducting program analysis, and providing youth-targeted support;
- Responsible for developing and implementing programs and strategies that empower young people—especially those from marginalized or vulnerable groups—and promote inclusive participation in social, economic, and civic life;
- Demonstrated knowledge of and proven successful ability to conduct youth analyses and youth integration programming;
- Design and deliver programs focused on youth education, employment, leadership, and life skills;
- Support capacity-building initiatives that help young people become active contributors to their communities;
- Facilitate access to opportunities in education, training, and employment for underserved youth.
- Identify and address barriers to participation (e.g., discrimination, poverty, disability, conflict);
- Develop and promote inclusive policies and practices within organizations or communities;
- Advocate for the rights and needs of marginalized youth, including those affected by conflict, migration, or disability;
- Clear knowledge and understanding of social norms within the project context (both geographic and technical context);
- Report writing, analyse data for decision making and participation;
- In addition to that any other duties and responsibilities may assigned by the authority/ organization which need to be carried out.
Educational Requirements: Master’s degree in sociology, social work, business studies, anthropology, women studies, development studies.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience with an international or national NGO or relevant development agency in youth skills development, social safety net programs promoting gender equity, including designing and facilitating youth training, conducting program analysis, and providing youth-targeted support;
Additional Requirements
- Team building capacity
- Written and oral communications skills in English and Bengali
- Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Respect on gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, code of conduct and cultural diversity
- Committed on response in any humanitarian emergency if necessary
- Able to drive a motorbike with valid motorbike driving license
- Able to operate virtual platform like Skype/Zoom/Team etc.
