Job Description / Responsibilities
The Community Facilitator will play a crucial role in implementing project activities at the community level. S/he will report directly to the Upazila Coordinator and be responsible for ensuring smooth project implementation, beneficiary engagement, and regular monitoring at the field level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mobilize the community for the successful implementation of the project, following the project action plan.
- Conduct field-level surveys and engage in house-to-house visits to identify and assess target households.
- Ensure beneficiary selection and need assessment processes are conducted effectively and on schedule.
- Maintain close relationships with targeted communities and act as a point of contact for beneficiaries.
- Stay within the posting union to ensure close supervision and engagement with the community.
- Monitor the implementation of Multi-purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) activities, Cash for Work, establishing homestead gardening, awareness development and report on progress.
- Maintain liaison with relevant government departments and agencies at the Union level.
- Communicate and coordinate with agriculture service providers ensure services for vulnerable households.
- Organize and lead community sessions with beneficiaries to ensure active participation and awareness.
- Conduct regular field visits as per the project objectives and prepare corresponding reports.
- Plan daily activities, including meetings, training, and other events, ensuring they are well-organized and executed.
- Support the facilitation of orientations, workshops, and meetings related to project activities.
- Prepare and submit monthly activity reports and work plans to the supervisor.
- Maintain proper documentation of fieldwork, beneficiary engagement, and food security-related tasks.
- Ensure high-quality work at the field level and the timely delivery of project tasks.
- Document and share lessons learned and best practices with program management.
- Ensure that child protection and safeguarding standards are adhered to in all project activities.
- Regularly communicate with the supervisor to provide updates, feedback, and challenges faced during implementation.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Arts /Diploma in Agriculture (Relaxed for NGO Experienced Female candidates)
Experience Requirements: At least 3 years of experience in food security and livelihood programming, preferably with national or international organizations operating in coastal regions of Bangladesh.
Required skills:
- Ability to work effectively within a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve project objectives.
- Experience in facilitating group discussions, workshops, and community sessions.
- Capacity to use digital tools for data collection, field monitoring, and reporting, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Adherence to gender-sensitive practices, PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), safeguarding, and code of conduct policies, ensuring a respectful and safe environment for all beneficiaries.
- Willingness and commitment to respond in humanitarian emergencies, ensuring swift action when needed.
- Ability to operate virtual platforms (such as Skype, Zoom, Teams, etc.) for meetings, coordination, and training sessions.
Salary: BDT 24,200 per month (Consolidated-No Bonus)
