Job Responsibilities

• Verifying that loan installments and savings collected by Credit Officers are correctly recorded in ledgers/software and deposited into bank accounts daily.
• Performing random field visits to cross-check members' physical passbooks against central software records to prevent fraud, unrecorded collections, or ghost loans.

• Confirming that loans are sanctioned following proper borrower selection, appraisal guidelines, and credit limits.
• Assessing overdue loan portfolio accuracy and ensuring adequate provision for bad debts as mandated by microfinance regulations.

• Monitoring whether branch offices adhere to the organization's operational manuals, financial authority delegation, and administrative policies.
• Auditing accounting software and data entries to prevent unauthorized modifications or system loopholes.

• Ensuring strict compliance with Microfinance Regulatory Authority (MRA) guidelines regarding interest/service charge caps, savings interest, and membership rules.
• Verifying correct withholding tax (AIT) and statutory deductions in line with government regulations.

• Submitting detailed audit reports with evidence and actionable recommendations to executive management and the Board of Directors.
• Conducting follow-up audits to confirm that previously identified irregularities have been rectified by the respective branches.

Educational qualification: Bachelor Degree / Masters from any discipline

Experience Requirements:

• At least 2 years’ relevant experience in Microcredit program

• Team building capacity
• Written and oral communications skills in English and Bengali
• Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Valid motorcycle driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the project area
• Respect on gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, code of conduct and cultural diversity
• Committed on response in any humanitarian emergency if necessary
• Able to operate virtual platform like Zoom/Team etc.

Salary: BDT 22,000 per month
