Job Requirements:
Job Description / Responsibility
- Coordinate day-to-day implementation of the project according to approved objectives, work plans, budget, and donor requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual activity plans as well as develop Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP). Ensure timely and quality completion of project activities.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of Anticipatory Action plans and mechanisms at community and local government levels.
- Support hazard, vulnerability, risk, and capacity assessments. Assess capacity gaps of Disaster Management Committees (DMCs) at relevant levels.
- Facilitate identification of early warning triggers, forecast-based actions, and pre-agreed anticipatory measures.
- Coordinate timely actions before disasters occur to reduce potential impacts on vulnerable communities. Support documentation and learning from AA interventions.
- Develop and implement capacity-strengthening plans for DMC members.
- Organize training, orientation, simulation exercises, drills, and knowledge-sharing sessions on DRR, preparedness, early warning, and Anticipatory Action.
- Strengthen the capacity of DMCs to develop, update, and implement disaster preparedness and contingency plans.
- Strengthen linkages between early warning information and early action. Support DMCs and communities to understand and use weather, climate, and disaster-risk information.
- Mobilize communities to participate in disaster preparedness and anticipatory action. Ensure meaningful participation of women, persons with disabilities, older people, children, and other vulnerable groups.
- HH survey, ensure data collection, verification, and documentation of project data as well as Beneficiaries database
- Coordinate with DMCs, local government institutions, Disaster Management Committees, CPP/volunteers, government departments, NGOs, UN agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate coordination meetings, workshops, simulation exercises, and learning events.
- Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, annual, and donor reports. Maintain project records, training documentation, attendance, activity reports, photographs, case studies, and other evidence.
- Support project budget preparation and expenditure monitoring. Ensure project resources are used efficiently and in compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
- Coordinate procurement and logistical arrangements for project activities.
- Ensure safeguarding, accountability, complaints and feedback mechanisms are integrated into project activities.
Educational Requirements: Master’s Degree (preferable in Disaster Management/Environmental Science/Urban Rural Planning/Social Science/Agricultural Science/Development Studies)
Experience Requirements: 10 Years having 5 years relevant Experience

- Written and oral communications skills in English and Bengali
- Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Respect on gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, code of conduct and cultural diversity
- Committed on response in any humanitarian emergency if necessary
- Able to drive a motorbike with valid motorbike driving license
- Able to operate virtual platform like Skype/Zoom/Team etc.
