Responsibilities:
- Product value chain assessment and follow up and strengthening the value chain system.
- Regular product value assessment, market visit, price monitoring, product channel development and communication & facilitate to value addition.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with concerned departments, agencies, market actors, different associations, Aggregation Centers (ACs), partners and stakeholders. Capacity building and anchor supply chain & ensure product marketing channel.
- Facilitate linkages between traders/markets and beneficiaries and link producers to new market opportunities.
- Build relationship market actors, different associations, Shop, partners and stakeholders.
- Regular market visit, price monitoring, chart development and beneficiary communication.
- Identify potential markets, input-output actors, and potential enterprises, assesses end markets and develops value chain maps.
- Develop and organize market linkages plan that connects pre-identified buyers to GIGA/SHGs.
- Integrate producers (beneficiaries) into their supply chains and commercial distribution networks.
- Problem identification in marketing system and take initiative to solve the problems.
- Facilitate the development and expansion of relationships among buyers, input suppliers, producer groups for crops/fish/poultry and livestock’s sectors and acts as focal point for promoting value chain and market system development.
- Carry out market study /analysis to understand the market demands and supply of selected commodities, producers’ capacity, existing products, markets and value chains, in the target area.
Academic qualification:
Master’s Degree (Preferable in Agricultural science, URP, MDS, Economics)
Experience
- 5 years (at least 3 years in the similar context)
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
NGO
Additional Requirements
- Team building capacity
- Written and oral communications skills in English and Bengali
- Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Respect on gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, code of conduct and cultural diversity
- Committed on response in any humanitarian emergency if necessary
- Able to drive a motorbike with valid motorbike driving license
- Able to operate virtual platform like Skype/Zoom/Team etc.
